We handle bankruptcy litigation, which are called adversary proceedings in United States Bankruptcy Court. We have also represented Chapter 11 trustees to recover assets for the bankruptcy estate in order to pay creditors. We do not render general bankruptcy services.

Our Results

We obtained a $475 million judgment in U.S. Bankruptcy Court on behalf of the model Anna Nicole Smith on her interference with inheritance claim against the heirs of the oil baron J. Howard Marshall II. This case outlived our involvement (and sadly Anna’s life) and went to the United States Supreme Court, not once but twice, and was ultimately reversed. Learn More

We obtained a $4.3 million settlement on behalf of the Chapter 11 trustee for the creditors of a medical technology company, Gamma Medica, on claims asserted against two private equity firms, who were lenders and shareholders of the company, that drove the company into bankruptcy so that the firms could buy two lucrative business lines from the bankruptcy estate at reduced prices. What Clients Say

“Greg handled a very complicated case for my bio-tech company Gamma Medica that involved multiple defendants with big firms on the other side. The case was contentious with lots of motions and depositions across the country. He stayed the course, provided invaluable insight about the process and progress of the case, and positioned the case for the company to receive a multi-million dollar settlement that was approved by the Court.”
